Congressman Steve Cohen has received the 2012 Public Official of the Year Award from the Tennessee Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
“It is a pleasure and an honor to be recognized by the Tennessee Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers for my work on behalf of social workers. Social workers make a real difference in our communities, especially on behalf of the poor. I have long supported our social workers throughout my career in government and will continue to fight for them and those they help in Congress,” said Congressman Cohen.
NASW is a membership organization that promotes, develops and protects the practice of social work and social workers. NASW also seeks to enhance the effective functioning and well-being of individuals, families, and communities through its work and through its advocacy.
