The Tennessee AFL-CIO Labor Council has endorsed Steve Cohen for Congress in Tennessee’s 9th Congressional District.

“At our COPE (Committee On Political Education) meeting yesterday, the Tennessee AFL-CIO endorsed your candidacy for re-election to the U.S. House,” Tennessee AFL-CIO President Gary W. Moore wrote. “I want to thank you for your willingness to serve the citizens of Tennessee and congratulate you upon receiving our endorsement.”

The American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations is the largest federation of trade unions in the United States, representing over eleven million workers.

The Memphis AFL-CIO Labor Council endorsed Congressman Cohen for the 2012 election in June.  The Tennessee AFL-CIO Labor Council previously endorsed Congressman Cohen in 2008 and 2010.
