Congressman Steve Cohen has been endorsed by the National Organization for Women (NOW) Political Action Committee. He is the only Tennessee Congressman to receive their endorsement in 2012.

NOW was founded in 1966 by Betty Friedan, Pauli Murray, and Shirley Chisholm. The six core issues that NOW addresses are abortion rights/reproductive issues, violence against women, constitutional equality, promoting diversity/ending racism, lesbian rights, and economic justice.
