Throughout my career in public service, I have been a strong proponent of efforts to lower energy costs, invest in renewable energy resources, promote energy independence and create a stronger more secure economy. The Commercial Appeal Endorses Congressman Steve Cohen
The Commercial Appeal has made its endorsement in Tennessee’s 9th District Congressional Election:
Excerpt:
Steve Cohen was in the right place at the right time in 2006, emerging from a crowded field of contenders to capture the 9th Congressional District seat that had been vacated by Harold Ford Jr.
Then a prominent state senator, Cohen also possessed the intellect, the skills and the energy to build a distinguished Congressional career, quickly proving to be a valuable asset to the people of the 9th District and his nation.
For the same reasons that President Barrack Obama issued a rare, written endorsement of Cohen in his Democratic primary election race — and for reasons that go well beyond the president’s stamp of approval — The Commercial Appeal enthusiastically recommends REP. STEVE COHEN as the best choice by far in this race.
