New Cohen For Congress Radio Spot Featuring Congressman Jesse Jackson, Jr.

Congressman Steve Cohen’s re-election campaign has unveiled a new radio commercial featuring Congressman Jesse Jackson, Jr. (IL-2).

The one minute ad, entitled “How Far”, reflects on the achievements of the Civil Rights era, leading all the way up to the presidential nomination of Senator Barack Obama.

“And it happened because of people like Steve Cohen,” Jackson said before talking about Congressman Cohen’s legislative record, including his establishment of the Hope Lottery Scholarship program and his votes to establish more Pell Grants and reduce the interest rate on college loans.

“Steve’s fighting to make us safer. Fighting for fewer soldiers on the streets of Baghdad and more cops on the streets of Memphis,” Jackson said, urging people to vote for Cohen in the August 7th Democratic Congressional Primary.
