The Mickey Wright Act
I introduced HR 3386, The Mickey Wright Act, on the floor of the House of Representatives. Named after a horrific murder case from within our own community, the Mickey Wright Act provides a valuable tool to law enforcement officials by creating strict penalties for transporting the body of a homicide victim across state lines for the purpose of hiding or discarding evidence.
It is my hope that this can help police and prosecutors in their quest to provide a stronger sense of justice to the families of murder victims across the United States.
