Congressman Cohen Scores 100% on Southern Alliance for Clean Energy Report Card

The Southern Alliance for Clean Energy has issued its 2007 Clean Energy & Global Warming Scorecard rating members of the House of Representatives and the Senate on their voting records on votes pertaining to clean energy and protection of the environment. Congressman Steve Cohen received a perfect 100% score.

"One of our most important responsibilities in this nation is making sure that we hand over a cleaner, safer world to the next generations of Americans. I've always fought to make that happen, and I always will," said Congressman Cohen.

The Southern Alliance for Clean Energy, founded in 1981 to lobby for more environmentally responsible energy policy, graded all members of Congress according to their votes on eight key issues including votes on global warming, increasing CAFE standards, and alternative fuels.

Cohen has been previously recognized for his environmental voting record with an endorsement from the Sierra Club and perfect interest group ratings from the League of Conservation Voters and The Defenders of Wildlife.
